Installation, start-up and delete the game
ReplyDelete1. Removing previous versions
(Applicable in case of problems with a combination of games):
* Save the folder with the saves. They are usually located at: My Documents \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims 3 \ Saves.
You can save the whole folder "The Sims 3", or at least the folder "Saves", that is, save yourself and towns WorldCaches, to save your game play.
* Harvesting options installed, and a catalog of standard uninstaller and a registry cleaner, such as using CCleaner
If you have problems, feel free to go to step 2 ...
2. Installing the game
Install the game - a rather long process, takes about 40 minutes, and the low-end machines, such as my laptop - even more. Please be patient.
Imagine how would you spend the time to install all eighteen games!
Presented? Then, continue on ...
* Mount the disk "ts3coll_bd.iso" in a virtual drive, such as using DAEMON Tools Lite and follow the program instructions. If the CD does not auto-run, then run the file "Setup.exe" in the root directory:
* Select the installation language - "Russian" or "English".
* Select the installation directory or leave the default:
"C: \ Program Files \ Electronic Arts" - for 32-bit Systems
or
"C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Electronic Arts" - for 64-bit systems.
* Select the additional tasks that are done by the program during the installation process:
"Additional icons" - the icons on the desktop and in the quick launch toolbar;
"More The Sims ™ 3 Store" (if necessary, you can install it later by running the "store.exe" in the root directory "ts3coll_bd.iso");
"Updates Components Windows" (for "DirectX 9.0c" and "MS NetFramewor" Internet connection required).
If you do not want to install any of the components, clear the checkbox next to it.
* We look forward to the game installation and custom components.
* After installation - Restart the computer.
For faster start the game, run the Disk Defragmenter, on which you installed it.
Run game with desktop shortcut "Play The Sims ™ 3" or through a shortcut - Start Menu \ Programs \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims ™ 3 Collection \ "Play The Sims ™ 3"
3. Delete the game
If you are not satisfied with something in this collection, it can be removed in just a few seconds (as opposed to installation):
Deleted the game from a shortcut - Start Menu \ Programs \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims ™ 3 Collection \ "Delete Collection The Sims ™ 3", either by running unins000.exe file in the folder installed games Electronic Arts \ Uninstall.
Delete the game does not affect the Electronic Arts folder in My Documents. Save all your left untouched.
If you set this collection by default, without changing the installation directory, it is possible to correctly remove unwanted catalogs and supplements Start \ Toolbar \ Programs and Features (Add or Remove Programs).
Also provides for the removal of materials from The Store label - Start Menu \ Programs \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims ™ 3 Collection \ "Delete The Sims ™ 3 Store", or run unins000.exe file in the folder My Documents \ Elektronic Arts \ The Sims 3.
When removing materials The Store, removes only the files that are installed with the disc! Save all your left untouched!
